Military care packages bring a welcome piece of home to your service member while they are away—whether that’s your child, fiancé(e), sibling, or friend. They help maintain a strong connection despite the distance and the demands of duty.
Here at Ukrainian Armed Forces Welfare Unit, we provide guidance on the best ways to send care packages to your service member during their time in the military.
When to Send a Care Package
The ideal time to send a military care package is after basic training. Soldiers who have completed training or are deployed generally have more freedom to receive packages. Sending a care package is a meaningful way to show appreciation and love for your service member and all they do for Ukraine.

Parents or relatives: Consider including toiletries, snacks, and items your soldier likes most.

Fiancé(e) or romantic partners: Include notes, small keepsakes, and photos that remind them of your love and support.

Military Care Package Ideas
Necessities:

Sunblock, socks, underwear, flip-flops, lip balm, body powder
Snacks:

Chips, salsa, nuts, cookies, beef jerky, non-melting candy, trail mix in sturdy packaging
